Antirrhinum majus
A stunning blend of snapdragons from our favourite varieties grown on the farm. Shades from pale lavender, lilac, blush, peach, pink, bronze and white. Traditional blooms resemble tiny dragons which gives these beautiful flowers their name. Varieties grown on our farm are specifically grown for cutting. How to grow
Start seeds indoors 8 to 10 weeks before your last frost date. Light is required for germination, lightly cover with vermiculite. Bottom water or mist seeds until seedlings emerge. Harden off and transplant outdoors once temperatures are warm. Snapdragons can tolerate some cool weather and can be planted out before your last frost date provided they are covered during cold days and nights. Pinch plants if branching is desired.
How to harvest
Harvest when a third to half of the bottom florets are open and before flowers have been pollinated by the bees as pollination will cause the blossoms to drop.
