How to grow
Larkspur grows best when sown directly. Seeds require darkness for germination. Direct sow late fall for spring blooms or early spring for summer blooms. Larkspur is cold tolerant. Seeds can be difficult to start indoors. Place seeds in freezer for 10 to 14 days. Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before your last frost date.
How to harvest
Harvest when one third of blossoms are open on the stem. Larkspur is also a drying flower. To dry, harvest when top 3 to 4 buds are still closed at the very top of the stem. Hang upside down to dry.
